Trust the Process
/Good morning, ya'll!! It's a beautiful Saturday morning, and I am determined to have a great day!! I started off the morning the best way I know how, and that's by spending some time in the Word of God.
I enjoy spending time in the Word of God and in prayer. I'm not always consistent with it, but I feel that it is important when seeking a relationship with Christ.
If you want any relationship to thrive, you must invest time and effort. Just as that applies to our earthly relationships, that same concept applies to our relationship with our Heavenly Father.
A deep trust in God comes from having a relationship with Him, because when we learn to know God, we learn His character.
One thing you will find about God when you learn His character is that He is always faithful. This morning, I was reading from Romans 3. The scripture that stood out to me was from Romans 3:3-4 "What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written:
“So that you may be proved right when you speak
and prevail when you judge.”
"What if some were unfaithful? Will their unfaithfulness nullify God’s faithfulness? Not at all!" Those words jumped off the page at me. Other's unfaithfulness does not nullify God's faithfulness! Jesus Christ is alive today and "the Word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart." Hebrews 4:12. I am reminded of this every day... when I see a gorgeous sunset, when I witness the tenderness of my son's heart, when my spirit is lifted from the loving and encouraging words of a friend. And that right there is encouragement to my soul to remember that God is ALWAYS faithful, even if others prove not to be.
I'm at a point in my life where I'm hanging on to that promise and very much looking forward to the day where my journey is living proof once again that "God is so faithful", but I know in the meantime, I have to put my trust in Him. We've all heard the saying in fitness and nutrition "TRUST THE PROCESS." Well I am trusting the process right now, knowing that the end result will bring forth the most magnificent results.
